This year, the first baby boomers turn 65. While Alzheimer’s is not normal aging, age is the greatest risk factor for the disease. This report conveys the burden of Alzheimer’s and dementia on individuals, families, government and the nation’s healthcare system.

A new study by researchers at the Institute of Psychiatry shows that children with emotional difficulties are at higher risk for obesity in adult life. The results have been published today in the open access journal BMC Medicine.
Previous research has shown that low self-esteem and emotional problems are found in people who are overweight or obese – but not which influences which. continue reading
